Plenty of theatres will be having haunted-themed shows for the season to send chills up your spine, but how about something that’s a bit spooky, but also rich in the original tradition of this Day of the Dead? Leave it Miracle Theatre Group/Teatro Milagro, a theatre company whose work and rich cultural traditions have consistently impressed us, to provide us with just such a production for the season.

Post5 Theatre is doing it again, that’s right, sketch comedy. The bastard offspring of Seattle’s Death/Sex is born at Milepost 5 this October: A one-hour, multi-media sketch show packed with vulgarity and questionable situations. The locally grown scenes still have the sexually macabre flavor of Death/Sex, but a whole can of Halloween poured on top makes it a SPEC-TRAVA-GASM!!! And it’s FREE!!! On September 18, 2012 here in Portland, Oregon, Post5 Theatre will be bringing back the popular style of its first sketch-comedy show, Death/Sex: Portland, with a new and completely original work entitled Spectravagasm.
